Steeped in local history, this building dates all the way back to an 1890 shoe store and a 1912 saloon. If you’ve been around South Jersey a while, you probably remember it as the legendary Max’s Seafood. Today, Pudge’s has kept that amazing old-school tavern aesthetic alive, complete with a packed, lively neighborhood vibe.
While the beer list features all your standard pub favorites, the food is the true star of the show. We ordered their famous cheesesteak, and it absolutely blew us away. It’s an absolute behemoth of a sandwich and easily one of the best we’ve had—you’re definitely going to need a to-go box!
