After a brief closure following his passing, this iconic blue-and-white landmark made a triumphant, high-energy return in May 2024 under new ownership that has masterfully balanced modern upgrades with deep respect for the “Geator” legacy.

The history here is tangible. The new owner, Philadelphia restaurateur Teddy Sourias (Craft Concepts Group), preserved the spirit of the venue by creating a dedicated tribute area featuring Jerry’s original turntables, his mixer, and his massive personal record collection which lines the perimeter of the space. It’s a place where the “Yon Teens” of the past and the party-goers of today can meet on the same dance floor.

Features & Highlights

The 2024 renovation brought some incredible new features to the table. The most anticipated addition is the custom-built outdoor Tiki Bar, a relaxed, tropical escape where you can catch the coastal breeze with a frozen cocktail or a signature “crush.” Inside, the energy is electric, fueled by a state-of-the-art sound system and a massive new LED video wall that keeps the dance floor packed.

While the “Geator Gold” oldies still have their place, the music program has expanded to include a rotation of live bands, acoustic performers, and premier DJs spinning everything from classic shore hits to modern tracks. Unlike the dive-bar setups of the past, the new Memories features a full Food & Drink Menu. You can sit down for a real dinner—think Mussels and Linguini, Smash Burgers, and high-end Crab Cakes—before the lights go down and the bottle service begins. It is one of the few places where you can transition from a family-friendly dinner to a high-octane nightclub experience all in one night.
