Bar Description
There is something truly special about a venue that elevates classic American pub fare and pours a fantastic lineup of local craft beverages. Tucked away at the historic Pitman Golf Course in Sewell, Bogey’s Bistro is far from your average clubhouse watering hole. After a massive renovation in 2024, the space was completely transformed with a new bar top, modern lighting, and an expansive outdoor deck. Today, it stands as a premier destination for South Jersey nightlife and dining.
Let us talk about the drinks, because Bogey’s absolutely shines behind the bar. If you love variety, this is your paradise. They are famous for their beverage flights. Every Wednesday is Flight Night, where the bartenders roll out seasonal creations like their incredibly popular Lemon Drop Martini Flight. If you visit on Taco Tuesday, you can pair Chef Omar Cruz’s gourmet tacos with a custom Margarita Flight. For the whiskey enthusiasts, they even feature a select bourbon blend crafted exclusively for the restaurant. Beer lovers will find a solid rotation of local craft beers on tap, and the kitchen even incorporates local brews into the house made hot sauces for their Signature Wing Flight. Weekend mornings bring their legendary Boozy Brunch. You can order Bubble Buckets to construct your own mimosas or marvel at their massive Bloody Mary boards.
The food menu perfectly complements the drinks. You will find elevated comfort food ranging from truffle gnocchi and short rib flatbreads to the massive Smash’d AF burger. The brunch menu is equally wild, featuring injectable donuts and stuffed beignets.
Now for the honest truth on what to expect. Because the food and drinks are so good, the secret is completely out. Bogey’s is open to the public with no membership required, and it gets incredibly busy. The atmosphere is unpretentious and the panoramic views of the rolling greens are beautiful, but you need to pack some patience. During peak seasons and the winter holidays, they deck the entire place out in spectacular Christmas decorations. This draws massive crowds from all over the state. As a result, they have experienced some growing pains with wait times and table management. If you plan to visit during a weekend, a holiday, or for their Sunday brunch, a reservation is highly recommended. If you walk in during peak hours without one, be prepared for a very long wait.
Despite the crowds, the payoff is worth it. You get phenomenal drinks, a lively atmosphere, and a sunset view from the patio that is hard to beat.
