Bar Description
The Ultimate “Eatertainment” Destination
As a bar and dining enthusiast, Iโm thrilled to profile Dave & Busterโs in Gloucester Township, South Jerseyโa venue that didn’t just join the bar scene, it pioneered a whole new category: “Eatertainment.” Located conveniently at 200 Premium Outlets Dr, this is not merely a restaurant with a few games, nor is it just an arcade; it’s a massive, multi-sensory entertainment complex where adults (and families) can indulge their inner kid while savoring premium food and sophisticated drinks.
Atmosphere and Features:
The atmosphere here is pure, high-energy adrenaline. The air buzzes with laughter, competition, and the clatter of a thousand games. But step up to the impressive, full-service bar and youโll find a dedicated sports sanctuary. The Blackwood location boasts state-of-the-art viewing, including massive screensโoften a 40-foot “WOW Wall” in remodeled locationsโmaking it a premier Sports Bar destination for cheering on everything from the Eagles and Flyers to the UFC fights.
The cocktail program is far beyond typical bar fare, featuring creative, signature drinks alongside a solid selection of craft and classic beers. Reviewers consistently praise the great beer and cocktail selection, noting that service is attentive despite the venue’s large size. Whether you’re gathering for a group happy hour or settling in for a serious Sunday of football, the large bar area and extensive menu, which includes satisfying dishes like mouth-watering burgers, sizzling steaks, and classic gameday wings, ensures your taste buds leave victorious.
The Thrill of the Midway:
Beyond the bar, you’ll find the legendary Midway Arcade, a glittering expanse of cutting-edge video games, interactive experiences (like virtual reality and social shuffleboard), and nostalgic arcade classics. The entire experience is streamlined by the famous Power Cardยฎ, replacing old tokens and tickets, allowing seamless gameplay and prize redemption in the WIN! store. For those planning a gathering, Dave & Busterโs excels in hosting, offering flexible dining and private rooms for everything from corporate team-building events to birthday celebrations.
A History of Fun and Food:
The entire concept was born from a simple observation in the late 1970s in Little Rock, Arkansas. David “Dave” Corriveau and James “Buster” Corley ran neighboring businesses: Dave had a game parlor, and Buster had a popular bar and restaurant. They noticed their patrons constantly rotating between the two spots. The idea to combine both under one roofโhigh-quality food, drinks, and competitive gamesโled them to Dallas, Texas, where they opened the very first Dave & Busterโs in December 1982. The name was chosen by a coin toss, which Dave won. This innovative blend of dining and entertainment defined a new genre and continues to grow today as a staple for fun-seekers across North America.
