History & Community: The Point was born out of a desire to create a “paradise in the sand” that pays homage to Somers Point’s deep shipbuilding and fishing heritage. It quickly became so popular that it expanded to Sea Isle City and Wildwood, but the Somers Point original remains the heart of the brand. It’s a rare venue that manages to be both a high-energy nightlife spot and a family-friendly destination, thanks to their themed Family Nights featuring everything from Star Wars to Frozen characters.
