-
Full Bar & Cocktails: This is the game-changer. With a full liquor license, Bar Tacconelli features a comprehensive bar program, specializing in thoughtfully constructed cocktailsโlikely featuring classic Italian aperitifs and modern disco-era drinksโpaired perfectly with the robust menu.
The History:
The legacy behind Bar Tacconelli stretches back more than a century. The family patriarch, Giovanni Tacconelli, arrived in Philadelphia from Chieti, Italy, in 1918 and built a massive 20′ x 20′ brick oven for baking bread. After WWII, Giovanni pivoted, using that oven to introduce the city to the thin-crust, Old World “tomato pies” taught to him by his mother. This tradition was carried forward by his son Anthony, establishing the original Pizzeria as an institution. In 2003, Vince Jr. and Doris Tacconelli brought the renowned family name across the river, opening the successful Maple Shade, NJ pizzeria. Bar Tacconelli is the latest chapter, blending that deep-seated culinary history with an exciting, contemporary bar scene, finally giving South Jersey fans the full drink experience theyโve craved.
